Former Inter defender Andreas Brehme believes that Erick Thohir will be able to lead the Nerazzurri to success by next season.
The Biscione are still growing under Thohir who just recently took control of the club earlier in the campaign and currently sit in fifth place on the Serie A table, though the former German international is confident that they’ll have a shot at the Scudetto in the near future.
Brehme, who was present at the San Siro for Inter’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari on Sunday, spoke to reporters about his hopes for the Milan side and conceded that they’ll be able to improve once they sign some new players.
“I hope Thohir can win a lot with the Nerazzurri,” said the 53-year-old, who won several titles with Inter during his stint with them from 1988-92.
“This year is tough, but by next year, with a couple of new players, I think we can begin to think about the Scudetto.”
