Lazio youth coach Aparecido Cesar believes that the club is run purely as a business and not as a football club.

Cesar, 39, is upset at the sale of star player Hernanes to Inter and that the money has not been invested in a suitable replacement.

“There is nothing new, nothing surprising; the Biancoceleste leadership showed again that they manage the club as a business, not a football club.” Cesar admitted to Radiosei.

“I am sad that Hernanes has gone because during his last game for Lazio he showed he was back to his best.

“Moreover the money that has come from or will come from the transfer has not been invested in someone to replace him.

“The squad lacks the technical talent to take the next step, which will allow you to have a bigger squad.

“You can’t have 12, 13 or 14 players when you are in many competitions and it is the same when it comes to injuries and suspensions.”
