Following Juventus’s 2-2 draw away at Hellas Verona on Sunday, Bianconeri coach Antonio Conte decided to punish his players by calling them into training during their day off on Monday.

The Vecchia Signora saw a two goal lead slip from their grasp in the second half at the Stadio Bentegodi leaving the Italian tactician furious at his side’s inexplicable lapse in concentration.

According to SportMediaset, Conte spoke to the squad at 10:00 for 30 minutes at Vinovo, irate with his side’s second half performance which allowed the Gialloblu to mount a comeback and snatch a point after Juanito Gomez equalised in the dying embers of the game.

After an intense scolding, in which Conte reportedly claimed he would have no hesitation in changing his starting line-up, the squad was then left without training, while the 44-year-old coach and his brother left Vinovo.

Sunday’s draw against the Mastini denied Juventus the chance to extend their lead to 11 points over Roma at the top of the table.
