Lazio’s pursuit of Nantes forward Filip Djordjevic is on the brink of success and according to reports the player will sign for the Biancocelesti within the next few days.
Having attempted to bolster their front line during the Mercato, the Aquile have been hot on the heels of the Serbian attacker whose contract is coming to an end with the Ligue 1 club.
According to SportItalia, the 26-year-old always had the intention of respecting the long term agreement established with Lazio, despite interest from a host of other clubs.
In the last few days there have been renewed talks to finalise a deal for Djordjevic and it is thought an official announcement of the transfer is imminent with the former Red Star Belgrade man ready to sign a five year contract with Edy Reja’s men.
Djordjevic has been at Nantes since 2008 and has scored 57 goals in 177 appearances for Les Canaris.
