Palermo’s Lafferty attracts Premier League attention

A number of Premier League and Championship clubs are trailing Palermo’s Kyle Lafferty ahead of a possible summer move.

The former Rangers forward has impressed this season scoring 7 goals in 20 appearances for the Sicilian club and has helped them climb to the top of the Serie B standings.

Sky Sports reports that a number of scouts watched Palermo’s 1-1 draw with Empoli on Monday evening, in which the 26-year-old scored and there is growing interest in the forward who has been capped 36 times for Northern Ireland.

It is understood several clubs expressed interest in the Northern Irishman during the January transfer window, however, speculation will now build ahead of a possible summer transfer.

Lafferty has previously appeared for Burnley and Darlington in England, as well as Swiss side Sion.
