Despite AC Milan emerging triumphant from the 2014 Viareggio Cup, it was Parma youngster Alberto Cerri who dominated the individual awards.

The 17-year-old racked up both the Golden Boy award and finished top goalscorer with six strikes to his name even though the Crociati succumbed to Fiorentina at the quarter-final stage.

“This is the most important award of my career,” Cerri told the club’s official website.

“I have to thank the club, the rest of the team and the coach, Francesco Palmieri, who is like a second father to me..

“I would also like to dedicate it to my family.”

Cerri has already made his debut for the senior side – playing 16 minutes in a 3-0 win over Pescara last season.

He is the sixth recipient of the Golden Boy award, following players such as Torino’s Ciro Immobile – who won the award while in the Juventus Primavera side – and Milan’s Bryan Cristante.

Palermo’s Alastra Fabrizio won the Best Goalkeeper prize.
