While their senior side may have failed in their pursuit of Derby della Mole bragging rights, Torino’s Primavera side did manage to take pre-emptive revenge.

Travelling to Vinovo on Saturday morning, Giovanni Graziano’s first half goal against Juventus was enough to give the Granata all three points and keep them comfortably top of the table.

A 2-2 draw away to Sampdoria for Empoli means they are 10 points off the leaders with Mattia Lombardo scoring two late goals for the Blucerchiati to help them to a draw.

Parma needed a 93rd minute winner against Genoa from Luca Pipoli to give them a 2-1 victory on home turf and deny the Grifoni a much needed point.

Modena’s struggles continued at home when Sassuolo visited them as Ettore Gliozzi scored twice for the Neroverdi as they left with the maximum points on offer.

In form Filip Pivkovski scored twice as Novara beat Siena 2-0 while Thomas Pedrabissi was also at the double for Cesena against Spezia.

The final game saw Carpi surprise Bologna by taking all three points on the road.

Group B has been blown wide open again thanks to the Nerazzurri against their fellow blue and blacks after Inter made the short trip across Lombardy and returned home with the better share of five goals from their derby.

The Beneamata took a 2-0 half time lead but the home side hit back through Federico Varano and Mattia Caldara but George Puscas struck for Inter in the third minute of injury time to take all three points.

As a result, Chievo cut the gap at the top to just one point after they travelled to the Adriatic cost to take on Pescara and came out on top with a comfortable 3-0 win, man to watch Victor Da Silva opening the scoring.

Brescia have shown that they boast a very talented crop of youngsters this season and when Mattia Valotti got them going against Cittadella, there was only ever going to be one winner in that contest.

Emanuele Rovini got the first and last goals for Udinese with two more coming in between as they made Cagliari’s long, long trip to the north east a futile one with a 4-1 win.

Ternana and Virtus Lanciano played out a 2-2 draw while Varese and Padova also settled for a share of the spoils in their meeting.

AC Milan and Hellas Verona’s game was postponed.

Lazio remain the team to beat in Group C and it was the extremely controversial man of the moment Joseph Minala who got a goal in each half to help keep them top of the table as they beat Palermo 3-1.

Fiorentina had to fight hard to stop them moving further than their four points ahead with Luca Capezzi getting the eventual winner after Sergio Garufi had put the Sicilians ahead with his two goals.

Alberto De Rossi’s Roma look like a team struggling for a little confidence at present as emphasised when they took the lead at Juve Stabia only to surrender it a minute later as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Latina were never going to be allowed to get close to a ruthless Napoli in their meeting as the Partenopei blitzed past them with a 3-0 victory.

Vito Leonetti scored twice for Bari as they thrashed Crotone 4-1 while Reggina battled back after going 1-0 down midway through the second half to beat Livorno 2-1.

And Avellino almost got their first win of the season at the 17th time of asking… but had to settle for a draw against Trapani who keep the gap between them to four points.
