Fiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi has revealed that he’s proud of his Viola team-mates for making the Coppa Italia final.
The Gigliati, who lost their first leg Coppa Italia semi-final match 2-1 against Udinese, were able to secure a 2-0 victory over the Zebrette at home on Tuesday and the injured 26-year-old has admitted that he was excited by the result.
Rossi wrote on his official Twitter page and congratulated his team while also thanking them for the positive feelings he received from the win.
“I’m too proud of my team-mates,” said the Italian international, who’s currently out with a knee injury and is hoping to make a return to the pitch before the end of the season.
“This has given me feelings of excitement. Thanks, guys.”
Fiorentina are now awaiting the result of the second set of semi-final matches between Roma and Napoli to find out who they’ll be facing in the Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico in May.
