Serie A LogoThere is a superb set of fixtures for round 26 of the Serie A season.

The round starts on Saturday night with a huge game at the Stadio Olimpico as Roma entertain Inter.

Roma go into the game without both Maicon and Alessandro Florenzi who are injured, but the Giallorossi are unbeaten in their last six league games.

Inter meanwhile were held to a disappointing home draw against Cagliari in round 25 and president Erick Thohir has claimed that Walter Mazzarri’s position as coach will be reassessed in the summer.

The early game on Sunday sees Cagliari host Udinese.

The Cagliari coach Diego Lopez perhaps saved his job with a draw at Inter last time out, but is still under pressure as his side has only won once in their last ten Serie A matches.

Udinese on a four match unbeaten run in the league after their 1-1 draw against Atalanta in round 25.

There are five matches on Sunday afternoon, including Torino’s home game against Sampdoria.

Both of these sides lost in round 25, Torino in the derby against Juventus and Sampdoria were beaten at home by AC Milan.

Atalanta take on Chievo in Bergamo with both sides hoping to ease their relegation worries.

The home side are eight points clear of the drop zone after they earned a draw at Udine last time out.

Chievo got back to winning ways in round 25, against Catania, having lost their previous three league games.

Genoa play host to Catania after a good result in round 25

The home side picked up an unlikely point away at Napoli last time out and the Grifone still have an outside chance of European qualification.

Catania’s recent good run came to an end away at Chievo in the previous round, with a 2-0 defeat, leaving the Sicilians firmly in the relegation zone.

Sassuolo entertain Parma in a local derby with the two teams in contrasting form.

The Neroverdi have lost their last six games in the league and find themselves at the bottom of the table.

Parma meanwhile are flying having not lost in Serie A in their last eleven games.

Verona welcome Bologna to the Bentegodi, with the home side on the hunt for European football.

Hellas are just one point off fifth placed Inter after winning at Livorno in round 25.

Bologna on the other hand are in a relegation battle, being just one place and one point above the drop zone.

The early evening kick off on Sunday sees Napoli head north to play Livorno.

The home side were beaten 3-2 at home to Verona in round 25, finding themselves 3-0 down at half time.

Napoli were held against Genoa last time out in Serie A, but did progress to the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday night against Swansea.

The round finishes with two mouth-watering games on Sunday night.

Fiorentina host Lazio in Florence with both in Europa League action during the week.

La Viola got passed Esbjerg and set up a last 16 tie against fellow Italians Juventus.

Lazio meanwhile were knocked out of the competition by Bulgarian side Ludogorets, 4-3 on aggregate.

Finally one of the biggest game in the Serie A calendar takes place at the San Siro as Milan play Juventus.

The Rossoneri are ninth in the league but could still catch their city rivals Inter and qualify for the Europa League.

Juve have been in stunning form in the league, they will travel to Milan boosting a 17 game unbeaten run in Serie A.
