Another exciting weekend in Serie A concluded with Roma sweeping aside Sampdoria at the Stadio Olimpico to maintain a semblance of pressure on leaders Juventus.
Earlier on Sunday, the Bianconeri cooly strode past Chievo at the Juventus Stadium as they edged ever closer to a third straight Scudetto.
It was a better weekend for the Milan clubs as both managed victories. Inter had an impressive win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Franchi, while AC Milan had to rely on a late Mario Balotelli screamer to get all three points against Bologna.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Torino and Catania, who shocked their respective opponents Hellas Verona and Lazio.
