AC Milan Ultras planning to protest against Parma

In light of AC Milan’s dismal season thus far, the Ultras of the Rossoneri’s Curva Sud are planning a pre-match protest for their game against Parma on Sunday.

Back in November an angry group of AC Milan ultras blocked their own players from leaving the San Siro after they watched their team draw 1-1 with Genoa.

Now it appears the Curva Sud have reached the end of their tether once again following their sides Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid.

“After another disappointing result in this troubled season… we have now lost our patience altogether and we have identified those which, in the opinion of our fans, have played a crucial role in leading our Milan to this bad situation,” a statement released by the Curva Sud said.

A key figure who they hold responsible is CEO Adriano Galliani and in particular his role in the clubs recent transfer dealings.

“Let us return for a moment to last summer…A few days before the end of the market we explained our concerns and we suggested some ways to strengthen the team.

“We unveiled a banner which asked the directors to strengthen the midfield and defence and avoid the useless purchase of [Alessandro] Matri.

“[Adriano] Galliani’s repsonse on TV was clear, the fans are not involved in the market and those who protest are only a minority.

“To date the facts speak for themselves, Matri proved futile and was sold in January and even more unnecessary deals were made.”

The supporters also questioned the decisions which allowed both Andrea Pirlo and Massimo Ambrosini to leave the club.

“We wonder, for example, how it was possible to send away Ambrosini, who as well as being the captain was a strong voice in the dressing room,” the statement continued.

“Whats more, we wonder how it was possible to release Pirlo and not to grant him a three-year contract on his terms.

“Today the results of this policy have led to the disastrous situation we find ourselves in, Milan are 37 points off the top of the league and out of everything.”

The statement then criticised the attitude of some of the sides players as well as naming those players who set a professional example.

“We come now to the team, made up of a few serious professionals but surrounded by a host of useless overpaid players.

“Their first thought is to put idiotic photos on social networks or to book tables for a good night out in the nightclubs.

“Maybe they feel like champions, but on the pitch they demonstrate little to no value.

“We wish they would follow the example of real professionals like [Riccardo] Montolivo, [Daniele] Bonera, [Christian] Abbiati, [Riccardo] Kaka, [Ignazio] Abate, [Mattia] De Sciglio, [Nigel] De Jong, [Andrea] Poli and [Giampaolo] Pazzini to name a few.”

The Curva Sud concluded their missive by announcing that they plan to launch a pre-match protest on Sunday in their Serie A match against Parma.

“Expect all the Rossoneri fans at the entrance of the Stadium on Sunday to express our dissent.

“For years, we’ve heard complaints, now if you really love this team you have to stand by our side and join in this day of protest.

“With Milan always in our hearts, The Executive Curva Sud Milan,” the statement concluded.
