Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has reportedly turned down an offer from Inter in favour of a move to Premier League side Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of the current season.

The 31-year-old is expected to leave the Gunners after becoming frustrated at only being offered a two-year deal on his current wages of €72,000 a week.

The Daily Star report that Inter have offered Sagna €110,000 a week with the option of a third year, but the French international would prefer to join former Arsenal team-mates and France international colleagues Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy at The Etihad.

Nerazzurri owner Erick Thohir is still expected to sanction more signings for next season having already secured the services of Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic when his contract expires.

Sagna joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007 and has made 205 Premier League appearances since then.
