Juan-Camilo-Zuniga - NapoliThe Colombian media is engaged in almost daily speculation about the progress of Napoli and Colombian national team wingback Juan Camilo Zuniga’s recovery from injury.

Zuniga has not featured for the partonopei since October of last year, when he sustained a knee injury and subsequently underwent surgery.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the press in Zuniga’s home country are frustrated by what they perceive to be secrecy on the part of Napoli in releasing details on the player’s recovery.

It is thought that news of Zuniga’s recovery is almost as much a focus in Colombia as that of star attacker Radamel Falcao, who was injured in January playing for French side Monaco, as the country’s media speculates on whether both players will be available for the World Cup in July.

The Colombian sports website El Deportivo has apparently also been showing photos of recovery work Zuniga is undergoing via social media, while blasting Napoli for rarely communicating the progress of the player.
