Juventus coach Antonio Conte was glad that his team grabbed victory against AC Milan after Clarence Seedorf’s side had given them a hard time.
The Bianconeri triumphed 2-0 against the Rossoneri in Milan but for Conte it was a win that his team had to work hard for.
“Today we had found a medium-sized tank in front [of us]. Compliments to Seedorf [and] to Milan,” Conte told Sky Sport Italia.
“In my time as coach, we have always had great difficulties here at Milan and today was a Sunday in which I was afraid of losing points in the title race, instead the boys were extraordinary.”
Conte praised goalscorers Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente for their performances, especially the Argentine and his efforts.
“He is a lion,” Conte exclaimed. “Carlos is the player who develops a taste for [the battle] when the match gets complicated.
“When he sees that the situation is difficult, he lifts a bit more. Also Fernando had an extraordinary game.”
