AC Milan legend Alessandro Costacurta believes that coach Clarence Seedorf is failing to have a positive impact on the Diavolo and feels things are only getting worse.

The 37-year-old was brought in as a replacement for former Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri in January and is yet to help the struggling team turn their luck around, as they currently sit in 12th place on the Serie A table, which has caused a number of critics to speak out against his plans for the club.

Costacurta spoke to Sky Sport Italia 24 about Seedorf’s arrival as Milan coach and admitted that his former team-mate isn’t doing a good job at winning over his peers.

“Logic leads one to think that Milan will give Seedorf a chance to start off fresh with the team next season,” said the 47-year-old, who played alongside the Diavolo boss for five seasons at Milan.

“However, he’s not responding to his job the right way in more ways than just the results. His plans for the club are not liked by the fans, players and also the president.

“He is more doubted now than he was two weeks ago.”
