Inter are reportedly closing in on Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old, more popularly known by the nickname Chicharito, has lost his place in the Manchester United starting line up in recent seasons and is rumoured to be on his way out of the Premier League club as he looks to earn more minutes on the pitch, with the Nerazzurri supposedly being the favourites in landing him.

According to the Daily Mail, Inter president Erick Thohir is already in advanced talks with the Mexican international and could even be on the verge of finalising a deal, though any official details regarding the possible transfer are yet to be announced.

Hernandez has been with Manchester United since joining them from Guadalajara in 2010 and has scored a total of 35 goals in his 93 Premier League appearances for the club since his arrival.

The striker has only managed to net two goals in his 16 league appearances under coach David Moyes this season thus far.
