Inter are reportedly keeping tabs on frustrated Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez and could be preparing a summer bid according to reports in the Portuguese media.

“Chicharito” has found playing time hard to come by after a strong start to his Old Trafford career when he moved from Guadalajara in 2010.

The Mexican international scored double digit league goals in his first three seasons but he has fallen behind Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck in the United pecking order this season, resulting in just four league starts.

Portuguese paper Record claim Inter have shown initial interest in bringing Hernandez to San Siro and would be willing to offer €15 million for the Mexican international.

The move would allow Hernandez to join teammate Nemanja Vidic at the Nerazzurri next season, as the Serbian has already agreed to join the Italian side on a free transfer at the conclusion of the current campaign.
