Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has reportedly caught the eye of Premier League club Southampton.

The Italian striker has had a horrid time with the Old Lady this season has he has fallen fall down the club’s attacking pecking order due to the arrival of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez.

Having sent their record summer signing Pablo Osvaldo on loan to the Bianconeri in January, Southampton are reportedly interested in making a move for Quagliarella for a fee of around €2.5 million according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

With Osvaldo unlikely to return to St.Mary’s following a tumultuous period there, the former Napoli fan could fill the void left by the Italian international.

Quagliarella has made 20 appearances this season, mostly from the bench whilst scoring just four goals.
