Napoli legend Diego Maradona has expressed his wishes for Gonzalo Higuain to win a Scudetto with the Azzurri as he feels the accomplishment is one of the best things to experience in the world.
The 26-year-old striker has performed well with the Partenopei since his arrival from Real Madrid before the start of the current season and has scored 14 goals in his 26 Serie A appearances for them thus far.
Maradona spoke to Kiss Kiss Napoli about Higuain’s talents, while also commenting on his hopes for the star forward to win the World Cup with Argentina this summer and a Scudetto with Napoli in the near future.
“Gonzalo is a very good person,” said the 53-year-old. “I also know his father because we played together and I must say that he understands a lot about this sport.
“During the last World Cup we talked for a long time, Gonzalo and I.
“I want Higuain to win the next World Cup in Brazil and, soon after, to win the Scudetto in the Napoli shirt because, I assure you, it’s the best feeling in the world.”
