Atalanta director general Pierpaolo Marino is hopeful the Dea will improve their away form in the near future after collecting another victory at home thanks to a 2-1 result over Chievo on Sunday.

The Bergamo side have collected 26 of their 31 points at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia this season, a statistic which is not lost upon the former Napoli director.

“Mr. Colantuono had to run home as he had a high fever,” Marino explained after the match to Rai Sport.

“It was an important victory for us today as the entire squad put on a great performance. Chievo are very strong and in my opinion, don’t deserve to be in the position that they are in.

“A lot of points at home? This is the characteristic of the side this season. Atalanta have the points that they deserve, we hope to improve away from home in order to further improve in the standings.

“Instant replay on the pitch? I am in favour of it. It’s offensive to talk about this when every other sport are helped by technology.”
