Massimo Cellino may see his 75 percent stake of Leeds United increased to complete ownership of the club, as a minority shareholder may allow him the remaining 25 percent.

The former Cagliari owner’s takeover has not yet been ratified by the English Football League, but it seems Bahrain based GFH may soon part with their share of the club allowing the Italian complete ownership, through his company Eleonora Sports Ltd.

A report in Isola24Sport indicated that although English law prevents 100 percent of a football club to be owned by overseas investors, Cellino would work on a way to circumnavigate the ruling.

It is also thought that current managing director David Haigh would stay on under Cellino – provided the deal is finalised.

“I appreciate what the Football League are doing,” Cellino said recently. “It is nice that they are so thorough – I just hope they do this with everyone because they have not done so in the past.”

A decision is expected over the next few days, which would see Cellino installed at Elland Road. Currently in Miami, he received regular updates from the Whites 4-2 defeat at home to against Reading on Tuesday night.
