Serie A LogoSerie A teams will play their third games in seven days, in round 31 of the Serie A season.

The round begins on Saturday evening in Bologna, as Atalanta travel to the Stadio Dall’Ara.

Bologna are currently just above the relegation zone but have only won once in their last seven Serie A matches.

Atalanta meanwhile are in superb form having won five league games in a row.

After a great result in round 30, AC Milan host Chievo on Saturday night.

The Rossoneri earned an impressive 2-0 victory in Florence on Wednesday, with Mario Balotelli scoring a superb free kick.

Chievo also did well in mid-week, claiming a vital 3-0 win at home to Bologna.

The early game on Sunday is in Emilia-Romagna, as Sassuolo entertain Roma.

The home side have had a frustrating week, with narrow defeats to both Udinese and Sampdoria.

Roma have already won twice this week and have only conceded 15 goals in the league this season.

There are only four games on Sunday afternoon, with the highlight being Sampdoria’s home match against Fiorentina.

It will be a special day for Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, who was in charge of Fiorentina during the 2010/11 campaign.

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella also has history in this fixture, as he had two successful playing spells with il Doria.

Lazio host Parma with both teams coming off disappointing results in round 30.

The home side were beaten 2-0 at Genoa and had Christian Ledesma sent off in the last minute of the game.

Parma’s long unbeaten run in Serie A came to end on Wednesday, as Roberto Donadoni’s men lost 2-1 at the Juventus stadium.

Torino take on Cagliari in Turin, with both teams safely in mid table.

Il Toro have fallen out of the hunt for European football, with only one win in their last six Serie A matches.

Cagliari meanwhile beat Verona 1-0 in round 30, taking them to 32 points from 30 games.

Verona entertain Genoa at the Bentegodi.

The home side have faltered in their pursuit of European football, with no win in five league games and four defeats in a row.

Genoa have picked up four points already this week, with an impressive draw at Parma and victory over Lazio.

On Sunday night there is one of the biggest fixtures in the Italian game as Napoli take on Juventus at the San Paolo.

Napoli have had a mixed week so far, with a late defeat to Fiorentina followed up by a 4-2 victory at Catania in round 30.

The Bianconeri have kept up their stunning record in the league this season with two wins already this week, Antonio Conte’s side have now won their last seven Serie A games.

The round finishes on Monday with two matches, the first being Udinese against Catania.

Udinese have had a good week so far with a win over Sassuolo before a hard earned draw at the San Siro against Inter.

Catania have picked up no points from two difficult games this week, against Juventus and Napoli.

The round finishes in Tuscany as relegation threatened Livorno host Inter.

The homes side have lost further ground to the side above them in the league this week, with defeats against Torino and Atalanta.

Inter have also had a disappointing week, failing to win at home to either Atalanta or Udinese.
