Carlos TevezJuventus striker Carlos Tevez has revealed he is disappointed to be missing out on Sunday’s clash with Napoli after picking up five yellow cards.

The Argentinean, who currently sits as the top goal scorer in Serie A after surpassing Ciro Immobile’s 17 goal total on Wednesday night when he bagged a brace against Parma, also believes the Bianconeri are playing too many matches.

‘’I’m sad to be missing out on our match against Napoli, but I’ll be supporting the team alongside my teammates on Sunday,’’ he told Mediaset Premium after the Parma victory.

When asked about the fact it would give him time to rest and his goalscoring record this season.

‘’I always try to play and score in every game,” he stated. “It is good however to have a rest and I’ll be able to prepare for the match against Lyon.

‘’I try not to think about these things [being top scorer in Serie A]. I focus only on the title and the task at hand. The fact I’m playing for Juventus is a win in itself.’’

The interview concluded when Tevez responded to the fact that Juventus have been playing too many matches.

‘’It’s true, we are playing way to many matches and it’s always difficult to play with a high tempo,” he said. “During the second half it was clear we were suffering even though Parma had only ten on the field. It was an important victory’’

Juventus visit Naples on Sunday before travelling to France to take on Lyon in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.
