Inter president Erick Thohir has revealed that his main objective is to restore the Nerazzurri back into the great team they once were.

The 43-year-old, who took over as club president and majority owner of the Biscione earlier this season, has vowed to help rebuild the club over time and believes that he’s on the right path, as the Milan side currently sit in fifth place on the Serie A table.

Thohir recently spoke to VIVAbola about his love for Inter and was adamant that people mustn’t put pressure on the club while they work to improve.

“I didn’t buy Inter for glamour or for a resurgence in popularity,” said the Indonesian businessman.

“I don’t need those things. I spend hours and hours on the plane to and from Italy because I enjoy being the president of Inter. I never get tired of it.

“My goal is to recreate a great Inter side and I feel that we’re on the right path.

“However, we must not put pressure on the players and coaches. Results will only come if the team is enjoying the work they’re doing every week.”

You can’t be great with full of 30+ year-old players in your squad……
say NO to Vidic, Sagna, Evra, you still may be not great, but not worse at least.
