42 players named to Italy squad for performance tests

Cesare Prandelli - ItalyItaly coach Cesare Prandelli has called up 42 players to undergo physical performance tests early next week.

Notable names include the likes of Antonio Cassano, Stephan El Shaarawy and Simone Scuffet while the likes of Francesco Totti and Luca Toni have not been included.

The players have been divided into two groups with the first and larger group set for tests on Monday, while the second group which is comprised of AC Milan, Juventus and Udinese players will undergo tests on Tuesday.

Players playing outside of Italy have not been included as the tests fall outside of FIFA allotted international breaks.
