AC Milan and Napoli are reportedly plotting moves for Uruguayan sensation Giorgian De Arrascaeta who currently plays for Defensor Sporting.
The 19 year-old dubbed the ‘New Riquelme’ in South America was the subject of intense interest from Barcelona last season.
According to Sky Sport Italia the Catalans have been joined by Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli in their pursuit of De Arrascaeta.
The attacking midfielder’s agent has refuted a move to Spain is on the cards and instead is focused on engineering a move to Italy for his client.
Barcelona had reportedly offered €5 million for De Arrascaeta’s signature meaning the Italian giants would need to challenge this bid.
The report also believes Juventus have a slight advantage in that they have a former Defensor player in Martin Caceres.
