AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf has admitted that the match against Livorno on Saturday at the San Siro will be a real test of his side’s character.

The former Rossoneri midfielder, who has overseen four consecutive league victories, has pledged to maintain the momentum and wants the team to finish as high as possible in the Serie A table.

“It will be a difficult game against Livorno,” said the Dutch at the pre-match press conference.

“However, we have worked recently with great determination and we want to extend this winning streak.”

Seedorf also provided injury updates on Keisuke Honda, Michael Essien and the others.

“Honda did his first training today and we hope to have him fit by next week,” he continued. “Michael Essien will also be fit by next week while [Sulley] Muntari has started training.

“[Stephan]El Shaarawy? One cannot appreciate [Cesare] Prandelli enough for calling him up to the convention.”

“We have defined a program for him, in a short time to make him play in a 70-minute game.”

Milan are currently in eight place in the Serie A table with 48 points, edging out Lazio on goal difference.
