Reports in Italy suggest that AC Milan are keen on bringing in Ajaccio goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to Italy when the summer transfer window opens.

Ochoa was courted by the Rossoneri earlier in his career before joining Ajaccio in 2011 and with his contract set to expire at the end of the season a move to Italy could well be on the cards this time around.

According to Sportmediaset.it, Ochoa is seen as an ideal replacement for current goalkeeper Christian Abbiati, whose contract also expires this summer, with the lack of transfer fee and low wages involved in the move playing an important role.

With Ajaccio set to be relegated from Ligue 1 after a wretched campaign that has left them sitting at the bottom of the table with just 19 points from 32 matches, it is unlikely that Ochoa will remain at the club next season.

However, despite his side’s struggles, the Ajaccio keeper has been a solid performer for the club throughout the current campaign and is likely to have plenty of offers when the transfer window comes around.
