AC Milan and Liverpool are both expected to vie for current Ajaccio goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa’s signature at the end of the season.

The Mexican international will become a free agent this summer, and has stated his desire to leave the relegation-bound Ajaccio. Ochoa has become a regular for Ajaccio and the Mexican national team, and is expected to start between the posts for the World Cup this summer.

The experienced 28 year old shot stopper has been heavily linked to a transfer to AC Milan in recent weeks, and now TuttoMercatoWeb reports that Liverpool has also entered to the race to sign him in the summer.

Both teams are in need of another goalkeeper for the 2014/15 season, with Liverpool looking for a competitor to current starting goalkeeper Simon Mignolet and AC Milan looking to bring in a replacement for both Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia, with both these goalkeepers expected to leave at the end of the current campaign.
