Stephan El Shaarawy could be set for a loan switch to Torino from AC Milan in a bid to recover from a season of injury setbacks.

The 21-year-old former Genoa attacker is close to a comeback for the Rossoneri but reports are suggesting that the Italian could be on his way to Torino in the summer after initial contact between the two clubs was made.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, a deal to loan El Shaarawy is seen as a way for Milan to sign Alessio Cerci in the summer.

The winger and strike partner Ciro Immobile are only second to the partnership of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez in the Serie A goal-scoring charts.

El Shaarawy had a fantastic season in 2012/13 as he scored 16 goals for Milan, the majority of which before Mario Balotelli signed in January of 2013.

The goals had dried up but The Pharaoh was still a constant as Massimiliano Allegri’s Milan scraped into the Champions League.
