Ligue 1 club Montpellier are unlikely to make a permanent move for AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang this summer, leaving the door open to Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

The 19-year-old joined La Paillade on loan back in January but the club’s president, Louis Nicollin, has admitted that even if coach Rolland Courbis were keen on keeping the teenager, he may be too expensive for the French outfit.

According to reports from Midi Libre a French daily in Montpellier the French forward could be on his way or Arsenal and Spurs, should Milan deem him surplus to requirements this summer.

The former Caen starlet had trials with the North London rivals before his arrival at the San Siro in 2012 and with both clubs in the market for a forward this summer, reports are claiming Niang could be a viable option.
