Atalanta coach Stefano Colantuono blamed his side’s 2-1 loss against Hellas Verona on fatigue.

La Dea lost 2-1 at the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo on Sunday afternoon after they conceded two goals through Massimo Donati and Luca Toni before scoring a goal of their own through German Denis.

Speaking to Rai Sport, when Colantuono was asked about whether his side were fatigued or not he agreed, whilst also feeling that his side were unlucky at losing Davide Brivio early on.

“Probably, especially after the winning streak we had,” he said. “I also feel that we were unlucky at losing [Davide] Brivio early on.

When asked about the altercation between Marko Livaja and some sets of fans, Colantuono said that the Croatian was frustrated that the side didn’t play well.

“The boy [Livaja] was probably frustrated about the team’s performance,” he began. “However, it is always good to avoid such problems”.
