Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing Atalanta’s Daniele Baselli during this summer’s transfer window.
The French champions have kept tabs on the 22-year-old midfielder, who has also drawn admiring glances from PSG’s Ligue 1 rivals Monaco and Serie A leaders Juventus.
Sports newspaper L’Equipe report PSG have the upper hand on their rivals and have sent club officials to Bergamo to try and thrash out a deal to bring Baselli to the French capital.
Baselli left Serie B side A.S. Cittadella for Atalanta last June and has made 10 starts in 24 appearances in his debut campaign in Italy’s top flight.
The Brescia native would join three Italian internationals already on PSG’s books; goalkeeper Salvatore Sirgu and midfield duo Thiago Motta and Marco Verratti.
