Barbara Berlusconi bags her first sponsor for AC Milan

AC Milan have secured their second Japanese sponsor as they have inked a three-year deal with Toyo Tires, marking the Rossonero’s first sponsor signed by new board of directors member Barbara Berlusconi.

The Rossoneri also count Japanese information technology equipment and services company Fujitsu among its list of sponsors, and they will now be joined by Toyo Tires.

Gazzetta dello Sport report the Milan club will earn €3 million from the partnership and the association will assist the club extend its reach in the lucrative Asian market.

“We’re happy to welcome Toyo Tires as we begin a partnership that reflects the increasingly global reach of our club and are delighted to partner with a brand as important at the international level,” said Berlusconi while speaking with reporters.

“It’s also a road for us to strengthen the bonds even stronger with our many fans in Asia.”

The club recently acquired one of Asia’s most notable players in the January transfer market when they signed Keisuke Honda on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow.
