Barbara Berlusconi, joint CEO of AC Milan and daughter of AC Milan owner and former Italian president Silvio Berlusconi, has traveled to the Emirates to look for potential investors to bolster club funds.

Lady B, as she is called by the Rossoneri support, has been pushing for radical changes in Milan, resulting in her promotion to joint CEO of the club along with Adriano Galliani.

TuttoMercatoWeb.com reports that Ms Berlusconi is currently in Abu Dhabi to look for a potential investor to buy out about 30% of the club. According to Tuttosport, she will meet with leaders of the Emirates to discuss a potential deal, notably the Crown Prince of Dubai, Mohammed Al Maktoum.

Milan has been in need of a financial boost for some time, with UEFA’s financial fair play rules hitting especially hard on the seven time European champions. Owner Silvio Berlusconi has been forced to tighten spending in recent seasons in an effort to curb the club’s debt.

The result has been one of the worst seasons Milan has ever had under the Berlusconi era, with the Rossoneri currently rooted in the bottom half of the table in 11th place.

A potential deal would be a massive boost for the team ahead of this summer, as major changes in players and staff are expected.
