Turkish giants Besiktas are planning an ambitious swoop for Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez in the summer.
The 28 year old German international has endured a frustrating debut season in Florence after joining from Bayern Munich, and there are rumours that the club may seek to cut their losses early on the powerful striker.
Turkish media outlet kralspor.ensonhaber.com report that Besiktas are targeting Gomez as the perfect replacement for outgoing Portuguese striker Hugo Almeida, whose contract ends in the summer.
Gomez has netted four goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for Fiorentina this campaign.
