Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has outlined his aim to go down in history by winning a third consecutive Scudetto with the Bianconeri.

Juve currently have an eight-point lead over Roma with just five rounds of the season remaining and are set to win a third Serie A title in a row for the first time since the 1930-1935 period.

“Winning a third consecutive Scudetto would mean entering into the Juve history books,” the 26-year-old said during a live video chat with Juventus members on the club’s official website.

“To be remembered at a club like this, you have to write important pages, and this would certainly be one.”

Bonucci also reflected on his match-winner in the Europa League quarter-final first leg away to Lyon.

“There was so much joy and adrenaline after that goal, and it was nice to celebrate it in front of our fans there at the stadium,” he continued.

“It was an important last-minute goal, and having always been a Juve fan and then wearing this black and white shirt as if it was a second skin, it was a wonderful feeling.”
