Lazio defender Luis Pedro Cavanda has revealed that he’s still looking to grow more as a player before he thinks about his future.

The 23-year-old, who is rumoured to be a transfer target of Premier League side Arsenal, has insisted that he’s only focused on improving as a player and hopefully making the Belgian national team squad for the World Cup this summer.

Cavanda spoke to Sport Foot Magazine about his future with Lazio and commented on his wishes to make the trip to Brazil with Belgium.

“I must still grow and I have no intentions of stopping myself from doing so,” said the Angolan-born Belgian international.

“Is Arsenal interested in me? I’ll think about these things with my agent soon, I don’t want to talk about it right now.

“National team? My priority is Belgium. I was called by Angola, I have chosen the Red Devils instead.

“I still hope to be called for the World Cup in Brazil, but if I happen to miss it, then I will work hard to earn a place for the European tournament in 2016.”
