Chievo coach Eugenio Corini was upbeat despite his side falling 1-0 to Sassuolo at home on Saturday afternoon.
Domenico Berardi’s goal just before half time was enough to give the Neroverdi an important three points, but Corini remains upbeat about his side’s chances of avoiding relegation.
“It was a balanced match,” Corini told Rai Sport.
“Just before [Domenico] Berardi’s goal we had a great chance to score.
“We had several chances to equalize but we will continue to fight until the end.
“The next match against Sampdoria? We are focused. The Blucerchiati play great football. It will be tough but we are focused on our next match.”
