The agent of Crotone player Federico Bernardeschi said that his client was delighted for his surprise call up to the next Italian national team mini-camp.

The 20-year-old winger has scored nine goals and provided five assists in 31 games this season while on loan from Fiorentina.

“We shared this joy for the call up, he will live these days with great serenity,” Nicola Pecini told Gianlucadimarzio.com.

“He already attended the mini-camp last month, with other Serie B players, the path he has taken is the right one.

“He is focused on Crotone. He wants to reach double digits in scoring and finish well this season.”

Pecini added that they will discuss his future with the Viola once the season is completed.

“Fiorentina proved that they trust him. The club and the project are important.

“We will sit down and discuss what is best for the kid.”
