Di Carlo: Abate dismissal could have changed game for Livorno

“From the pitch it looked as if Abate should have been sent off when it was 0-0,” Di Carlo told Rai Sport.

“That could have changed the game as it was a balanced affair to that point.

“Instead everything changed and Milan found a late goal in the first half that changed everything.

“Sassuolo are three points ahead [of Livorno] with four games to go, there is time to change our position.

“If Livorno play like they did in the first half the club can reach safety starting with the match against Lazio.”
