Former Livorno head coach Domenico Di Carlo has admitted he is angry with the club’s president Aldo Spinelli following his dismissal from the Tuscan outfit.

Di Carlo was sacked following his side’s 3-0 defeat against AC Milan and was replaced by former Livorno head coach Davide Nicola, who was sacked from the club in January.

“I am angry with president Spinelli. I wanted to stay until the end of the season to save the team [from relegation],” Di Carlo told RAI-3 Tuscany.

Livorno currently lie three points adrift of safety and sit in nineteenth place with just four games to play, courtesy of a dreadful run of form that has seen the side win just one of their last ten Serie A matches.
