Parma coach Roberto Donadoni doesn’t feel his side deserved to lose against Inter on Saturday.

The Gialloblu went down 2-0 with Rolando and Fredy Guarin bagging the goals at the Stadio Tardini.

“If the guys didn’t have the mentality of a great team, then they wouldn’t have played in such a way against a great Inter side,” the tactician told Rai Sport.

“I’m proud of my players, today we saw the difference between us and a team like Inter. The have a large squad of great players.

“However, today we didn’t deserve to be beaten.”

The home side did have Gabriel Paletta sent off, while Antonio Cassano also missed a penalty.

“Unfortunately Cassano found a great goalkeeper in his way, so it isn’t a drama,” Donadoni continued. “The penalty was taken well and [Samir] Handanovic made a great save.

“We were penalised with the sending off, despite what the referee decided. I am only a coach and can only congratulate my players.”
