Fiorentina reached their 1000th win in Serie A on Sunday and president Andrea Della Valle has expressed his pride at managing such an achievement.
The victory against Hellas Verona was also the 250th win in the Della Valle tenure.
“This milestone could not have been honoured in a better way and in all respects,” the owner commented on the club’s official website.
“I am proud that my family reached this historical goal.
“I am sure that we will have other important results together because we are on the right path.”
The Della Valles took control of Fiorentina in 2002 when the team was relegated to the fourth tier of Italian football as it had gone out of business.
