Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini was disappointed to see the Grifone fall to yet another defeat after their 2-1 loss to Cagliari.

The Rossoblu took the lead after three minutes through Sebastian De Maio. Marco Sau equalized for the Isolani before Victor Ibarbo’s late winner condemned the Grifone to their fourth consecutive defeat.

“We have lost a bit of focus and attention,” he told Rai Sport after the match.

“We started well but then we lost ourselves and we conceded two goals to our opponents.

“We are ending a great season in poor fashion.

“I don’t know what happened at the final whistle. I think it was just a bit of nervousness.”
