The Rossoblu dominated Milan for long spells in the game but were profligate and wasted a large number of goal scoring chances.
“I’m upset about the result, but the performance was remarkable.” Gasperini told Mediaset Premium after the game.
“For long stretches we dominated the game with clarity and quality and it is a shame the result didn’t materialise.
“It is essential to play positively against teams like this [Milan], you need to open your heart.
“Certainly we need to grow and improve from today because we missed so many goals.
“The performance of the defence over the 90 minutes was very good even if you weigh in the two errors for the goals.
“My regret is that we didn’t score when we could, even though [Christian] Abbiati was very good.”
