Former AC Milan midfielder and Palermo coach Gennaro Gattuso has revealed that he’d be open to be Rossoneri coach in the future.

The World Cup and Champions League winner is still unemployed after he was sacked by the Rosanero this past September.

“Palermo was an experience that made me grow up,” Gattuso said to 360.

“Even if it was for a short time, I thank Maurizio Zamparini for all of the damn passion he showed.

Someday I’d like to return to AC Milan, since it’s the team I have rooted for since my childhood. I hope to do well in the next experience to be able to one day return to the Rossoneri.

“Seedorf? He wants to start from the bottom and the road he’s taking is the right one. It’s typical of Clarence to have the courage to accept a challenge like that 4 months ago.

“Galliani? I think that he’s one of the greatest footballing leaders. My greatest moments have been shared with him. It’ll be a difficult time for him and the club, but Milan have everything to get back to being that strong, respected team.

“Berlusconi? When he was at Milanello more, you tried so much harder, you left something on the field. When he got angry and it was alwyas like that in the locker room, he always had respect for those that trained hard, he was always impeccable with this aspect.

Gattuso also discussed the stadium situation in Italy.

“The stadiums need to be improved but football is a company that gives so much work.”

Gattuso then talked about whether he’s had any offers to coach elsewhere.

“I’ve had inquiries from Malaysia and Singapore, but today the priority is not money, it’s to keep resting and growing in Europe.”
