Marek Hamsik NapoliNapoli captain Marek Hamsik has revealed that his team will do everything they can in order to achieve their goal of taking second place on the Serie A table this season.

The Partenopei, who currently sit in third place just six points behind Roma, may have dropped points against lower table teams this campaign, but the 26-year-old still believes the club have the ability to reach their objective in these last seven games, especially if the Giallorossi fall to Parma on Wednesday.

Hamsik spoke through his official website after Napoli’s stunning 2-0 victory over Juventus on Sunday about the win over the reigning Serie A champions and commented on the ongoing battle for second place.

“It was a deserved victory. We were the better team, especially in the first half,” said the Slovakian international.

“Goals? The important thing is to get the success as a team.

“The fight for second place? Everything is possible. We will do everything in our power.

“There are still seven games left and we’re waiting to see what happens between Roma and Parma.

“We’re sorry to have lost points against teams that are stuck in the bottom half of the table.”
