Hellas Verona coach delighted to have equalled Bagnoli’s record

Hellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini expressed his delight at equalling Scudetto-winner Osvaldo Bagnoli’s club record wins after Gialloblu’s 2-1 victory over Atalanta on Saturday.

The Mastini defeated La Dea at the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia courtesy of goals from Massimo Donati and Luca Toni while German Denis scored the only goal for the hosts.

Speaking to Rai Sport after the game Mandorlini stated that he is proud to have equalled such a record, while also saying that his side deserved the victory.

“I’m very pleased and proud to have equalled the record of the greatest coach in the club’s history,” he said. “We deserved the victory in the end.

“We created many dangerous chances, so I think we deserved to win.”

Mandorlini concluded his words by saying that qualification to the Europa League qill be tough but his side will give their all to win their remaining games.

“Qualification to Europe is difficult.However there are 12 points up for grabs, and we’ll try our hardest.”
