Inter striker Mauro Icardi has admitted that he plans on doing the best he can for the Biscione in every appearance he makes for them.

The 21-year-old, who had been on the sidelines with a recurring groin injury for several months this season, claims that he has been giving all of his effort both in training and on the pitch as he looks to take advantage of the chances coach Walter Mazzarri has been giving him.

Icardi spoke to Corriere della Sera magazine Style about his mission to do well for Inter, while also taking time to thank Mazzarri for his confidence and praise Nerazzurri president Erick Thohir.

“I’m focused on my job at this club and I want to give my best in every game,” said the Argentine international, who has scored four goals in his 16 Serie A appearances this term thus far.

“I cannot thank Mazzarri enough because as soon as I was able to train with continuity, he’s given me a chance that I’ve been trying to make the most of.

“President Thohir is young, but he’s proven as an entrepreneur that he has clear ideas of how a company should be managed. My impression of him has been great.”
